My personal style is to match the look of film because that’s the era I came out of, colorful and light, where greens are soft yet vivid, and skin tones are natural. Over the years I’ve mastered the green monster of digital. We all know what I’m talking about, the acid yellow-green often seen in digital imaging straight out of the camera. Film renders colors, especially greens, very differently, and the right presets can match it. However, I understand everyone has different preferences. If your style is more autumnal and desaturated, more Phil Chester than Mastin Labs, I can definitely achieve the look you desire. And just as there are many levels to “Light and Airy” and “Dark and Moody” I look forward to finding the sweet spot for your images.
Included in editing is basic cropping to straighten images or to simply refine the capture. I have a good eye for balance and can leave things alone for enlarging purposes or crop when it improves an image.
To get started, send me some sample images that best represent your style and which presets you use or want to use. And then send some raw files so I can do some sample edits.
